ABOUT ANNE RICKOVER Who am I to help you? I live a rich and interesting life. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but now live in Lincoln, Nebraska. I’ve been married, divorced, and remarried. I have raised (and usually enjoy) two young adults. I’ve been a married parent, a divorced parent, a re-married parent, and am now learning to adust to the joys and challenges of grown children. I’ve done a lot of travel- to Mexico, South America, Israel, and Europe, as well as a lot of the USA. I’ve enjoyed music and learned to draw and paint a bit. I’ve grown spiritually, and am learning to integrate my beliefs into my life more all the time. I’ve been blessed with wonderful friends and teachers, and have also met with some not-so-easy-to-like folks. Life hasn’t been easy, but it’s always been rich. I’ve learned to relax and look ahead to the next changes, rather than being dragged kicking and screaming into some of them while running blindly and too quickly into others. Additionally, I am a graduate of Coach U, the oldest training course for coaches. I have a BA in English and Linguistics, and an MS in Speech Pathology. I’ve taught in a variety of school settings for 29 years, including private prep school, the public schools (elementary through high school), community college and university. I’ve been teaching refugees from around the world for the last 18 years. I’ve even worked for state government for a year. As your coach, I draw on training and experience, while remembering that each individual is unique. We are all heading to different destinations, but we all need bridges. We work together as equal partners to help you determine where you want to go and how to get there. “I have found that Anne listens with a keenly intuitive ear. She brings balanced attention, curiosity, and a mature gentleness to this work.” Mary Lee Guthrie, Fairanks, Alaska Please feel free to contact Anne at (402)-840-9408, or Email me at anne@lifebridgecoach.com.
